Twisted Sister front man Dee Snider has relocated his entire family from Los Angeles to North Carolina. He shared this news in a recent interview with Parade.
The 70-year-old rock legend discussed his family’s decision to seek a different lifestyle after spending a decade in Los Angeles.
“We moved out to LA 10 years ago, the whole family. A couple of years ago, everybody was sitting around saying, you know, it’s time to get back to a calmer life, not ‘back to’ — to a life we never had,” Snider said.
He described their extensive search for a new home state across the country.
“We literally looked from the West Coast to the East Coast and slowly started dialing in. And North Carolina took the number one spot,” he continued. “You’ve got to come for the state. So the entire family came out, this is true, and we started on the west end of the state. We traveled all the way to the shoreline.”
The warm reception they received played a crucial role in their final decision.
“They were welcoming and lovely, and we said this is where we want to live. We’re all here, by the way — my four grown kids, six grandkids, we all live in North Carolina, this is our home,” he concluded.
The Snider family has now fully established themselves in their new North Carolina community. This move represents a significant lifestyle change for them.
Local media has closely followed the family’s relocation journey. New details continue to emerge about their choice of residence and adaptation to their new surroundings.
A report from WFMY News 2 revealed that the Snider family settled in Oak Ridge, North Carolina. This choice aligned with their desire for a more peaceful lifestyle away from the entertainment industry.
Local media outlets have documented Snider’s active engagement with his new community. Recent coverage shows him sharing insights about his move and music career. He consistently expresses gratitude for the hospitality he’s encountered in North Carolina.
The rock legend’s move from the entertainment capital to Oak Ridge marks a significant chapter for the Snider family. Their decision reflects a growing trend of entertainment industry veterans seeking balanced lifestyles outside traditional entertainment hubs.
