A movie about late Who drummer Keith Moon is in the works.
"The Hollywood Reporter" says group frontman Roger Daltrey has given the blessing to the biopic, which is being produced by Da Vinci Media Ventures.
Daltrey recently spoke about efforts to make a film about the infamously misbehaved drummer who died of a drug overdose in 1978. He said he wouldn't be crushed if the movie never gets made, but if it does make it to screen, it has to be done right.
The still-untitled biopic is still in search of a screenwriter.
Meantime, Daltrey recently announced that The Who would begin winding down its touring days in 2015 with what he describes as the band's "last big tour."
A super deluxe edition of The Who's classic rock opera "Tommy" is in stores this week.
